• The Chairman’s Award will honor Works & Process, with a special citation to Wendy Ziecheck (presented by Virginia Johnson, performance by Dorrance Dance)
• The Harkness Promise Awards will be received by Alethea Pace and Yin Yue (presented by Joan Finkelstein)

The Harkness Promise Awards, which offer a $5,000 grant and 40 hours of rehearsal space for innovative choreographers in their first decade of professional work, is funded by net proceeds from the Dance Magazine Awards ceremony. In partnership with Works & Process, this year’s awardees will be featured in a shared evening as part of the 2022 Works & Process season in the Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Guggenheim.

As the performing arts emerge from the challenges of the pandemic, the Dance Magazine Awards celebrate those whose outstanding contributions have made our field even stronger. With the selection committee’s continued focus on diversity, we honor the artistry, the integrity and the resiliency these artists have demonstrated over the course of their careers. Join us to celebrate this outstanding group on Monday, December 6, with performances and presentations for each honoree.

Tickets range from $50-$1,000. 

The $1,000 VISIONARY ticket includes: -a donation to fund the Harkness Promise Awards -attendance to the 2021 Dance Magazine Awards (live at Works & Process at The Guggenheim)* -an exclusive preshow experience -a one-year subscription to Dance Magazine

The $200 Producer ticket (IN-PERSON* option) includes: -access to a preshow special featuring former Dance Magazine Award honorees -attendance for one person to the 2021 Dance Magazine Awards, live at Works & Process at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum* -a one-year subscription to Dance Magazine

The $125 PRODUCER ticket (VIRTUAL OPTION) includes: -attendance to the livestream of the 2021 Dance Magazine Awards -access to virtual preshow content -a one-year subscription to Dance Magazine

The $50 HEADLINER ticket includes: -attendance to the livestream of the 2021 Dance Magazine Awards -a one-year subscription to Dance Magazine
